Susan Page Davis is a native of central Maine now living in western Kentucky. She’s an award-winning inspirational author with a prolific publication history. She is also an extremely witty, fun person who exudes kindness to everyone. I was blessed to meet her, and work on a class assignment with her, at a retreat sponsored by her publisher, Scrivenings Press.
Susan’s published book number 100 is Cliffhanger, the first of the Skirmish Cove series, set in an inn on the coast of Maine. I’m sure it will be a fabulous read, available now on Amazon in paperback and Kindle format. (I pre-ordered it because I knew it would be THAT good!) Susan will send a free Kindle version of Cliffhanger to the first person who answers this question in the comments section below:
In Cliffhanger, a reunion takes a sinister turn. Have you ever attended a reunion that didn’t meet your expectations?
I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read written by Susan. She is a multi-genre author including romance, mystery, historical, romantic suspense and young adult. Her True Blue Mystery series and her Homeward Trails series are fantastic.
She was kind enough to anwer a few questions for us:
What is your superpower?
I have always been a very good speller and won my school district’s spelling bee in eighth grade. Unfortunately, it also makes me extremely picky. If I notice a misspelled word in the TV captions, for instance, it distracts me from the story.
What are you working on right now?
Right now, I’m about halfway through my rough draft of my third Homeward Trails book. The Sister’s Search follows Molly Weaver as she hunts for her brother Andrew in post-Civil War Texas. What she doesn’t know is that Andrew is not her biological brother. Molly was adopted. This is the culmination of a three-book series where the grandmother back in Maine has hired an attorney and his investigator to find her three missing grandchildren. When her daughter died twenty years previously, her son-in-law abandoned the children before the grandparents could claim them, and they were adopted into very different families. Molly’s world is upended when she learns she’s not who she always thought she was.
If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of your life, what would you like?
Ink. I am always running out of it, and my local office supply store recently closed. Wah!
What is your next writing project?
After this, I’ll be writing my second Skirmish Cove book, to follow my latest release, Cliffhanger. The owners of the Novel Inn on the Maine Coast will have a new mystery to solve.

I attended a high school reunion many years ago, before social media, when it was difficult to keep up with people after graduation. I was disappointed because some of the people I had wanted most to see weren’t there. And some of the ones who were there seemed to still behave like high school students who’d been expelled.
