On October 31st, I posted a book review of Bentonsport: A Christmas Story on my blog. Today, I have the pleasure of introducing you to Bentonsport: A New Chapter. The sequel to Bentonsport: A Christmas Story. Here is a snippet description of the sequel:
What if you followed your heart—not across distance but across time?
Sarah Peterson never knew how far she would go for love until Thomas Barton walked into her life, they fell in love, and he asked her to join him in his world—one hundred fifty years back in time. More afraid of losing him than of leaving everything behind, she put her future in God’s hands and awakened in the past. Now, she’s facing a world she’s only dreamed of, and reality is nothing like her dreams.
Thomas Barton never imagined he’d meet a woman like his beloved Sara. Leaving her behind was the hardest thing he’d ever done. When he discovers she’s followed him across time, he’s ready to spend his life making her decision worthwhile. His friends come up with a plan to convince Bentonsport she’s part of their era, but it’s going to take another miracle to pull this off.
Love was enough to carry them through a hundred and fifty years. Will it be enough to get them through the next weeks and months?
I was able to ask author Lisa Schnedler to answer a few questions about her writing. She also shared some good advice for other writers.
What are you working on right now?
Right now, I am working on my third book in the Bentonsport series. This one focuses on modern day Bentonsport—the friends Sarah left behind and the new dreams that are being dreamed!
What is your next writing project?
I will move to the fourth book in the series—set in the 1870s.
How do you relax and recharge when you step away from writing?
Writing is where I go to relax and recharge. I work full-time in a hospital—so writing is my escape!
If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of your life, what would you like?
It would have to be coffee—but a close send would be chocolate!
I get pretty crabby when I can’t have one of these!
What are you most thankful for?
I am most thankful for Jesus and for the family of God He adopted me into. Grateful for my sisters and brothers in this family. It is nice to go just about anywhere and know that there will be caring loving people who will consider you part of their family.
It doesn’t get any better!
What’s your best advice for other writers?
If you love to write—keep it up and don’t get discouraged! God gives gifts—but they often don’t come with deadlines. So, enjoy the journey and just keep writing what He places in your heart!
