I’m happy to recommend this Christmas book to my friends. The author is a personal friend and she is fun and a little bit sassy. Her personality translates to her characters to the enjoyment of us all in this delightful Christmas romance.
Here is a short description of Christmas Rewired:
Hannah is known for her sunny disposition, but lately she has decided God must have forgotten her as her friends all around her find “the one,” and she hasn’t. When the only man in her life who shows an interest in her is the grouchy Trace Reno, she tries to be patient, but in her opinion, he’s bossy, and even worse, he knows nothing about construction.
Love at first sight for him, pure irritation for her.
A mishap on a last-minute job on Christmas Eve gives them the time together Trace craves, and Hannah makes the best of it, discovering that Trace might have a gooey center underneath his crusty exterior.

Regina agreed to answer some questions for us:
Did someone inspired you to write?
There are two(ish). First, Lorna Sielstad and Marlene (writing as J.S. Marlo), whom I met while writing fanfiction based on the TV show “Sue Thomas, FBEye.” These ladies who were using the experience of this platform to try their hand at writing Christian and clean fiction, and dragged me to my first ACFW conference. The other major influence was Robert Yehling. He’s a writer/publisher/editor/surfer-dude from Southern California who made his way to the sticks of Western Kentucky! When I was a library director, he called, wanting to provide writing workshops in the meeting room, and I attended. With all that, I was hooked.
Tell us about your next writing project.
My next project is book 5 of my RenoVations, Inc. series, a romantic suspense. It will release June 2025.
If you could have an unlimited supply of money for the rest of your life, what would you do with it?
Buy an island with great internet.
Is there someone who has inspired you positively or negatively?
Positively, Kathy Cretsinger. She believed in my writing long before I did.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you want to go and why?
I would like to travel to the British Isles. I’ve always loved literature and movies from Britain, and I’d love to go and be able to spend enough time to really see the country.
Do you have a funny memory you’re willing to share with us?
When I decided to take a leap of faith and attend that first ACFW conference, I rode with two people I’d never met (Linda Fulkerson and Shannon Vannatter) and roomed with three ladies I’d also never met, except online (Lorna Sielstad, Dawn Ford, and Kimberly Payne). To say I was nervous was an understatement, but not one of them turned out to be an axe-murderer!
What’s your best advice for other writers?
Don’t be discouraged by the editing process, and be sure to have extra eyes on your manuscript before submitting it—preferably someone besides your mom or your high school English teacher!
Describe what you feel is the hardest part about writing.
The most difficult part of writing is the struggle with “imposter syndrome,” in both writing and marketing. Sometimes it feels like no matter what you do, it’s not enough.
What do you find is the greatest blessing of being a writer?
Being able to support other writers in their journey.
Is there a genre you’d consider in the future that differs from that/those you do now?
So many! I’m primarily a contemporary romance author, but I’d love to write another historical. Window of Peace was historical, but it was part of a multi-author series. I enjoyed the research. I have the beginning of a Western suspense that I’d love to complete, and my obsession with Agatha Christie makes me want so badly to write an honest-to-goodness mystery!
Which book or book series have you recently enjoyed reading?
Pepper Basham’s “Freddie and Grace Mysteries,” anything by Jaime Jo Wright, and a few fun rom-coms.
Who are your favorite authors?
Contemporary authors Pepper Basham, Courtney Walsh, Laura Frantz, and more. I’m a long-term fan of Agatha Christie, Daphne DuMaurier, Victoria Holt, Laura Ingalls Wilder, to name a few.
