I had the opportunity to get to know Liana and she is delightful. Here’s some interesting information about her.
What is your superpower?
Organizing. I can organize just about any space in very little time!
What is the one thing we would never guess about you?
Even though I am super-organized, I don’t make my bed every morning!
What are you working on right now?
I am busy launching book 2 in my Hopeful Heart Series, Perfectly Placed while simultaneously writing book 3 in the series, Perfectly Matched. It’s a juggling act!
What is your next writing project?
I’m not sure yet. When I was offered my 3-book contract from Scrivenings Press, I was in the middle of a novel called Must Love Books. I may go back to that, or I might start something new (I have tons of ideas for other novels). I also have a nonfiction book/devotional I was working on with another writer/professional organizer last year and we might try to finish that. I’ll see how I feel when I type THE END on book 3 as to which direction to take.
How do you relax and recharge when you step away from writing?
Reading, traveling (especially to a beach), spending time with family and friends
Do you journal?
I do! It’s a great way for me to gain clarity and process the events and emotions I’m facing at the moment.
What’s your best advice for other writers?
How you practice now is how you play later – even if you’re not published yet, practice every day like you are (write, study, market, network) because one day you will be! If you practice faithfully then the transition from amateur to pro will be seamless. However, if you haven’t, you’ll find the move much more difficult and stressful. And that’s no way to enjoy the moment you’ve been waiting for!
