Stars and Stripes for Freedom, both paperback and ebook versions, are on sale November 1st through November 11th, in honor of Veterans Day. The novella collection is a five-novella salute to women in the military published in August by True North Publishing and available on Amazon. Each novella in the collection highlights an individual branch of the military. Veterans Day, the United States holiday honoring military veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces, was originally known as Armistice Day, when World War I ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918.
My novella, Lifted into Grace, features a female Coast Guard helicopter pilot. When boat propeller blades nearly claimed the life of Chris Matthews, Hannah Grant, and her crew with the U.S. Coast Guard rescue him, by helicopter, to receive medical help. Hannah’s husband, Logan, is waiting to provide that help in the Intensive Care Unit of the local Trauma Center. Together, do they have the skills to rescue an injured teenager’s body and spirit, lifting him into a life of Grace?
Remember the Alamo is the title of the Army novella written by Delores Topliff. Kacey Collins emancipated herself from foster care by adopting the Army as her career and family. She advances and thrives until the failed evacuation at Hamid Karzai, Afghanistan, causes major PTSD. Now, to save others and herself, she must move outside the laws to survive and redefine who she is and where she belongs.
Jennie Atkins contributed Show No Fear, a novella featuring an ex-Marine K-9 trainer, Kit Eveans, who returns to her hometown to investigate her father’s death. Aided by her loyal dog, she uncovers a vast conspiracy of murder, greed, and human trafficking that implicates the men her father once called brothers. To expose the truth, Kit must become a decoy in their deadly game.
Shirley Gould contributed Anchors Aweigh, which features a woman, Kat, kidnapped by human traffickers. Her friend, Eva Lyons, leaves the Navy and joins NCIS to search for her friend. Agent Levi Hunter needs the research Eva spent months compiling, but she must learn to trust him to rescue Kat before she vanishes forever.
Cindy Bond wrote Fight or Flight, a novella featuring Libby McHale, retired from the Air Force. Libby now works at Smoke Mountain Park and is one of the few people with a top security clearance that is necessary to assist with a security breach and rescue. Together with Airman Seth James, they fly into danger and crash, but the crash is just the beginning.
I hope you will be intrigued by these novellas and the brave women depicted in them.

If World War II captures your interest, my friend Terri Wangard, has an excellent series of World War II stories set in unusual places, yet related to the war. Enjoy!
