I’ve had the most wonderful summer. It started with my grandson, Liam, being able to come home from the Ronald McDonald House after his bone marrow transplant. There is no doubt, he received the very best care from all of the health professionals at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and all the staff. We love you all and your dedication to children.
Liam is feeling great and his hair is returning. A huge thank you to all who prayed for him, sent him good wishes, and supported his family as we walked through this process.
My friend of over forty-two years, Helen Glick, joined me on a cruise to Alaska from San Francisco. We had a blast and saw so many wonderful sights. God made Alaska beautiful, and I love to visit the nature, glaciers, and enjoy the delicious food from the area.
I was able to learn more about writing at the annual American Christian Fiction Writers ‘ Conference at the end of August at The Peabody Hotel. It was amazing to reconnect with all the Scrivenings Press authors, editors, and owners who attended the fabulous conference. Four of us (pictured here) are working on a mystery novella collection. More information to come soon.
The Peabody is a historic hotel filled with charm (antique phones and desks for guests) and ducks. The twice-daily march of the ducks is not to be missed.
And a surprise visitor!
I shouldn’t have been surprised to have bumped into Elvis in Memphis when we were both at The Peabody Hotel. Elvis is from Memphis, after all.
